The rise in mobile banking has driven the need for banks of all sizes to be able to innovate at speed, so Apiture wanted to develop an in-house solution that would be able to meet these needs. Through an understanding of the competitive landscape and in-depth user stories, the design and development teams worked in lockstep to ensure a seamless experience. In just under nine months, Apiture delivered a mobile experience that empowers their clients with faster delivery of new features, more control of data, and overall ease of use.

The Need for an In-House Mobile-First Transformation

The Challenge

Previously, Apiture relied on a leading third-party partner to host their mobile platform for customers, which had served their customer base well. However, the rise in mobile banking has driven the need for banks of all sizes to be able to innovate at speed, so Apiture wanted to develop an in-house solution that would be able to meet these needs.

Currently serving hundreds of financial institutions across the United States, Apiture’s priority in the redesign was to keep client community needs at the forefront of development. The goal was to improve the overall mobile experience while increasing controls to expedite the production time of new features.

An Intentional Mobile-First Experience

The Impact

The first release of the new mobile applications hit the stores in January 2021. By July of 2021, the team had released the third major version of the app and all of Apiture’s mobile clients had been migrated
