Abby Margolis Joins Experience Strategy & Insight Team, Helping Businesses Deliver Software Their Customers Love
AUSTIN, TEXAS – Feb. 17, 2017 – Innovative software design and development company projekt202 has named Abby Margolis, Ph.D., as Experience Strategy and Insight (ESI) Practice Lead in its Austin office.
In her new position, Margolis will help clients gain genuine, deeper understandings of their customers’ wants, needs and motivations. This understanding is key to designing and developing products that feel easy to use, valuable and intuitive. It is the foundation of projekt202’s proven methodology: using observation-based insights to envision and design the digital experiences that people value and connect with emotionally.
Drawing on techniques from psychology, anthropology, ethnography and sociology, projekt202’s ESI experts identify the most important, holistic experiences for both a business and its customers.
Margolis’ own background includes more than a decade directing research, anthropology and ethnography initiatives for global businesses. She is a Harvard University postdoctoral fellow, and a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Pittsburgh.
“With her deep and diverse background, Abby combines methods and perspectives from anthropology, design and innovation to lead comprehensive research and strategy efforts,” said Aliza Gold, projekt202’s Vice President of Experience Strategy and Insight. “She’s really driven to help our clients discover new value for their customers and their companies.”
Said Erik Cottrell, projekt202’s General Manager in Austin, “What struck me most about Abby is her wonderful combination of solid business judgment, creative thinking, broad experience and infectious enthusiasm.
